Frank Stormcatcher
Presenting: Spiritual Steel Protection and Spiritual Steel: The Gathering Protection

Stormcatcher watches and learns. Then he applies what he learns in doing his part to keep the Pagan and Magical communities safe and free to follow their stars. This comes from a degree in Anthropology of Religion and the History and Philosophy of Science, nearly two decades of practice, and a firm resolve that sometimes it takes more than a lullaby to keep the nightmares away.

Lady Corbee Willow
Presenting: Passing through the Veil, Pagan traditions, past, present and future

Corbee found her way to the path some 20 years ago, beginning with a class in Religious Studies at the University of Ottawa, Canada where she was first introduced to Paganism and Witchcraft. Shortly thereafter she moved to Northern California where she read and studied as a solitaire practitioner for the next decade, before moving out into community. She eventually found her way to her long time friend, mentor and High Priestess, Lady Wren. Corbee worked and mentored under Wren and was elevated to High Priestess in The Newly Revised Circle of the Mystic Grove on Imbolc, 2008. In a Passing of the Wand ritual at Alban Eiler, 2008, Corbee became the High Priestess of the Newly Revised Circle of the Mystic Grove. She moved to the DC area in that same year, while Wren moved to Hawaii. Although the last few years have been a series of life changing transitions, Corbee has been fortunate to find herself in community with Iris Firemoon and the Circle of the Spiral Moon, where she dedicated under Iris and is spending this period of her studies pursuing further knowledge in the area of clergy in order to work more effectively out in community. Corbee has long been interested in the topic of death, and how it is handled and celebrated by different traditions and cultures. She is particularly interested how we, as Pagans, perceive and celebrate this final journey as we accompany loved ones to its threshold, and that we eventually must take ourselves. Corbee is a member of Death Midwifery in Canada Digest, and she is awaiting the opportunity to complete her certification in Death Midwifery.

Lady Iris Firemoon
Presenting: Leadership Workshops, Closing Ritual

Iris is the founder of The Firefly House, The Firefly Academy, and the DC Firefly Meetup.  Iris has studied Wicca for since 1998. When she first stumbled onto Wicca, she got involved with a small study group. Eventually, she took a class at a local metaphysical shop. The woman teaching the classes took the students and formed a group called Coven Blossom.  Three years later, Iris moved across the state to go to colleve, and unfortunately had to leave the group.

She began teaching a basic Wicca class through email in 2003. That lead to in-person advanced classes. From those classes came Coven of the Spiral Moon. We had planned to offer basic Wicca classes in person to people in the Toledo, Ohio area. Just before we were slated to hold our first class, Iiris was offered her dream job, and moved to Washington D.C. Not long after that, one of the other circle sisters moved to Chicago, and another to L.A. In the summer of 2006, the group got together, and decided to open an online school to pick up where they left off. It would also be the best, because we are all so far away, and any of us could move at any time. TFA opened up in October of 2006.

Iris is currently living in Northern Virginia. Her other interests include reading, writing, dancing, singing, scrapbooking, wine, and being outdoors. Her mundane job is in the exciting world of broadcast news.

Flatlander
Presenting: Archaeological Sites of Pagan Interest in Germany
Flatlander grew up in Alexandria, Virginia, a town considered ancient by North American standards.  Steeped in history, rich in tradition, and suffused with the ever-present hint of the arcane, odd, and forbidden,  Alexandria has long been a place where the mundane and the mysterious remain curiously and uniquely intertwined.   The town is rightly associated with such conventional figures as George Washington and Robert E. Lee, but it also   in fact the place that gave us such unconventional luminaries as Jim Morrison, Neko Case and  others of greater or lesser fame and infamy.  Larger-than-life personalities such as these served to inspire  Flatlander to constantly seek the exceptional in life.

A lifelong pagan at heart, if not always by open declaration, Flatlander embraced the ancient ways both  formally and informally.  From an early age, he drew inspiration from the ancient traditions of  Europe, Asia and the Middle-East.  He spent much time as a youth in the Virginia countryside  and the Blue Ridge mountains absorbing the ancient folkways, legends, linguistic forms, poetry and music of the  descendants of the European Settlers, Slaves and Indigenous Peoples there.   In high school he studied the Bhagavad-Gita under the tutelage of an accomplished yogi and N.I.H. researcher.   He earned a B.A. in Mesoamerican Archaeology from the Anthropology Department and a B.A. in Germanic Studies from the Modern Languages Department at the College of William and Mary in Virginia.   He also earned several Masters Degrees; these focused on Business, Technology and Finance.
At various points he was worn the title of Archaeologist, Musician, Combat Pilot, Consultant, Entrepreneur, Bon Vivant and Adventurer.  He has lived and worked around the world and is fluent in several languages, modern and ancient.
