The 2010 Firefly Housewarming

When choosing an airport, there are several items to consider. Reagan National Airport is very close to the hotel, and is just a short taxi or subway ride. However, depending on where you come from, BWI might have cheaper flights. Make sure to do some checking of multiple airports. Also, you need to consider how you will get to the hotel from the airport. There are easy public transportation options from both Reagan National and BWI.

Washington Reagan National Airport

• Distance - 5.1 miles
• Drive time - 10 minutes
• Taxi - $15
• Get turn by turn directions
• Subway/Rail - $4
• Take the BLUE LINE in the direction of Largo Town Center, but get off at the Rosslyn stop.
• Then, take the ORANGE LINE in the direction of Vienna, but get off at the Courthouse stop.
• If you cannot find the Metro from where you are at, find an airport employee to ask.

• Distance - 23 miles
• Drive time - 35 minutes
• Taxi - $50

Baltimore-Washington Airport

• Distance - 38 miles
• Drive time - 61 minutes
• Taxi - $60
• Train - $6 (RECOMMENDED!)
  
• Take the MARC train from BWI Marshal to Washington Union Station. It is approximately 40 minutes between BWI and Untion station.
• If you cannot find the MARC train from where you are at, ask an airport employee.
  
• Then, take the DC Metro RED LINE in the direction of Shady Grove, but get off at the Metro Center stop.
• And, get on the ORANGE LINE in the direction of Vienna, but get off at the Courthouse stop.
• If you are unsure about the DC Metro, ask any Metro employee, especially the ones in the booths.
  
• Finally, you'll be a block from the hotel.

Driving Directions

• From the Memorial Bridge take the Route 50 West exit and follow for 2 miles. Exit the N. Courthouse Road exit, hotel will be 2 blocks up on the right.***Must obtain a valid guest room key to enter the parking garage.
• From the 14th Street Bridge take 395 South to the Route 110 exit heading towards Rosslyn. Follow Route 110 to Wilson Blvd. Follow Wilson Blvd. up to North Courthouse Road and turn left. (You will be turning left at Wendys). The hotel will be about 2 blocks down on the left.

Hotel Parking

• $12 per day in the hotel self-park lot. Must obtain a valid guest room key to enter the parking garage.
• Metered street parking available for part of the day.
• Might be able to find a parking spot on a neighborhood street, but it is a gamble.
