The location of the event is the Hilton Garden Inn in the Courthouse section of Arlington, Virginia. It is one block from the Courthouse Metro station, which we will use to travel to various field trips.

This is really a steal in this location. The cost for a room is $129 per night, not including tax. The amenities include one king or two queen beds, chair with ottoman, large work desk, complimentary High Speed Internet Access, two phones each with two lines and voicemail, refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, iron and ironing board.

For folks coming from out of town, we need to put this in perspective. The average room rate as close as we are to the District of Columbia is $250 to $350 per night. The going rate at this hotel is $189 per night, the hotels within a mile are $269-ish per night, and the cheapest room in the Best Western in the not-the-best part of town is $150 to $199 per night. So, this is really a steal. Bring a friend or two, and it's even cheaper.
