Hilton Garden Inn - Courthouse 1333 Courthouse Road Arlington, Virginia 22201 STORYLINE It is time for the Hidden Councils Annual Costume Ball. This is the social event of the year. The Royalty of the Mage Guild, Were Clans, Vampyr Houses and Fae Court will be in attendance. As always when the Immortal Court gather's you can expect political intrigue, barbed innuendos, backstabbing and betrayal. Not much different than any other day among royalty. However, everyone that attends can still play without having a specific role. Everyone will still mingle with characters, get to decide who committed murder, and vote for their favorite costume and performance! Sign up and pick your character now before all of the slots are filled! You must have registered and payed for us to reserve your character. COSTUME This is a costume ball, so come dressed to impress. Costume or evening attire preferred. If you are a character, you do not have to dress up like your character unless desired. You will have a name tag so that people know who you are. MENU Included in the ticket price. Buffet, desert, and a cash bar. Buffet includes Vegetable Spring Rolls with Plum Sauce, Spinach and Feta Cheese Spanakopita, Roasted Vegetable Crostini, Asparagus Wrapped in Prosciutto, Whole Roasted Turkey and Herb Roasted New York Strip. CERTIFICATES Voted on by all and awarded for the following: * Best Performer - For Oscar deserving performance skills. * Best Costume - For using outstanding creative imagination in costuming. * Super Sleuth - For using superior wits and detective skills to solve the mystery. * Wealthiest Player - For using cunning, bribery and other nefarious skills to amass the most wealth. SILENT AUCTION Help raise money for the mission of The Firefly House, a nature-based church formed in Virginia in 2009 with an international member and student base. Rooms are $129 plus tax, which is a very low negotiated rate for this area and this hotel. For folks coming from out of town, we need to put this in perspective. The average room rate as close as we are to the District of Columbia is $250 to $350 per night. The going rate at this hotel is $189 per night, the hotels within a mile are $269-ish per night, and the cheapest room in the Best Western in the not-the-best part of town is $150 to $199 per night. So, this is really a steal. Bring a friend or two, and it's even cheaper. Details of how to book a room under our discounted room rate will be available in the next couple of days.
